WEEK 10 First Phase of Teaching Practice

 September 22, Monday

It was a regular day after the art fest. The day started with an assembly in which the Headmaster enforced the students to come in full uniform neatly.

An exam for Red cross students was held at school with the invigilation of Harilal Sir, a senior teacher.

The PTA meeting of class 10 was held at school. The parents of the students were coming the whole day in between as per their convenience to meet every teacher individually. So the classes were not run properly.

The time scheduled for PTA meeting was 3pm and a hall is arranged to occupy the parents. The parents can meet the concerned class teachers to sign the report cart and to talk about the progress of their offspring. The school management awarded the top scorers with a shield. Its actually a positive reinforcement for them to scale glory in their studies.

September 23, Tuesday

The day started with some arrangements for the observation as we are informed that our physical education teacher is coming for observation in our school. We have arranged our works and records to get approved by our teacher. She came to the school after lunch break and observed our classes.




September 24, Wednesday

It was a regular day. I have continued the lesson " Engine Trouble " in 8C .

The day is also scheduled for PTA meeting of class 9 and 8. As of class 10, the toppers were rewarded with shied and appreciation from the school. Meeting started at 3pm.

September 25, Thursday

It was a regular day that started with a school assembly. I have continued the lesson " Engine Trouble " .


September 26, Friday

Local holiday due to Sri. Mata Amritanandamayi's Birthday.

    First phase of our teaching practice was started from July 17 2025 onwards. We a group of 5members - myself Aishwarya, Rincy, Fathima, Aavani,Sandhyalekshmi from English optional were assigned SVHSS ,Clappana.  Day 1: 17.07.25 On the first day, I met the HM and the optional class. I got 8C as my assigned class under the guidance of Sreekumar Sir. We also had a special experience – a Moon Day-related 360° virtual reality show . It was about space, and it felt like we were travelling through the universe! Day 2: 18.07.25 There were no official classes today. In 3D educational theatre , we got to experience a special stereo 3D show with 3D glasses. It was a new and exciting learning method.

WEEK 2 First Phase of Teaching Practice

● Day 3 (Monday) : No regular classes were conducted  ●Day 4 (Tuesday): No regular classes were conducted. ●Day 5 (Wednesday): I took class for 8C. I introduced Unit 2 of Chapter 1. Sreekumar Sir observed my class. The students responded very well and actively participated. It was a smooth and fulfilling teaching experience. ●Day 6 (Thursday): No class due to Karkidaka Vavu holiday. ●Day 7 (Friday) : I continued with Chapter 1 for 8C, again following a lesson plan-based approach. This time, I included more activities to reinforce the content and improve student understanding. The learners were enthusiastic and participated actively, which made the session more effective and interactive. Although this week had fewer class days, both Wednesday and Friday sessions were productive and meaningful. Using a structured lesson plan format that helped the students grasp the content better and take part in classroom activities confidently.

Week Reflection of School Induction Programme 👩🏽‍🏫📖 🖋

   " Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire" - William Butler Yeats From VMCTE, edappallicotta we are assigned to SVHSS, Clappana for the school induction programme as part of the B.Ed. curriculum to provide first-hand experience of the school environment. It offered as the opportunity to observe the administrative and faculty members. We a group of 6 members were assigned to the school for five days observation from 23.09.2024 to 27.09.2024. The programme provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the school's history, school's infrastructure, and educational practices.      Day 1- 23rd September 2024     The excitement of beginning my school induction was undeniable as I arrived at the school gate promptly at 9.30 am.
